Girls On The Run

GOTR
Yes ladies, the time has arrived!  Our first practice will be next week Tuesday.  Listen for a call from Coach Bacon on the details.  I look forward to starting a cold, but exciting 2014 season.

IN OUR CLASS
We will be preparing for ISAT testing during class time.  Therefore, some units may be put on hold until the testing is concluded next week.

LITERACY
We have LOVED our mythology unit.  The students will be turning in their portfolio's on Wednesday.  I will be meeting with the students to assess their success with the completion of this unit. We are also beginning a poetry unit that the students are enjoying.  It is fun to see how creative they can be.

MATH
We are working on a unit on measurement.  Next week, we will be working with balances, scales, measuring cups, and many other hands on activities.

SCIENCE
Simple machines are off to a great start.  We are working on some picture research, and siting sources from the internet.  We will be learning a new program, Photo story! Once we are experts on this, we will create a Photo story representing all we have learned about simple machines.
