Hello Families!

Our school year is moving right along.  I wanted to send out a few reminders.

MATH
Please remember to work each night (about 10 minutes) on the problem of the week (POW).  It makes Thursday night much more pleasant if the students have worked on this throughout the week. Also remember that I grade on effort not accuracy.  This encourages the students to give their best effort and know that they will be recognized for it!

LITERACY
Each night your child should be reading 30 minutes and recording a summary or reflection of what they have read.  These logs will be checked every Monday morning.  I will provide them a new log every 2 WEEKS.  If you have any concerns regarding the log, feel free to contact me.

CLASS DOJO
Remember to sign up for class dojo alerts.  If you need the information about how to do so, let your child know and I can provide this information to you.

SCIENCE
We are moving along quickly through our study of rocks and minerals.  Our geologists are currently engaged in some testing of unknown minerals in an effort to identify them.  We will be wrapping up our study of rocks and minerals next week.
