Week of October 14, 2014

I want to thank all of the families that attended conferences.  It was so nice to see all of you.  Building relationships between home and school are very important to me and I encourage parents to continue communicating with me.  With that said, here are some reminders for this week...

LITERACY
The RAFT project is due on OCTOBER 27, 2014.  This is to be done entirely at home.  If you have any questions about the expectations, feel free to contact me or have your child bring in the project and I can check it over prior to the due date to ensure they are on the right track.

MATH
We will be testing on the multiplication and division unit on Friday.  We will complete a study guide today and correct it tomorrow.  Be sure to review all concepts with your child in order to ensure success.

SOCIAL STUDIES
The groups are working on creation of their pictorial input charts.  They will use these to teach their peers about their characteristic of the Midwest. 

Next week I will be sending invitations out for the Star Student pizza lunch.  In order to earn an invitation students need to have 20 days or more at a 90% or higher on the DoJo.  They have until the end of the week to eran those percentages.
